25 April: After a great night's sleep along the Colorado River, I made the short 28 mile trek up to Blythe, where I thought I would get a room and enjoy the rest of the day off. One of the first signs that I saw upon entering town was a large neon emblem that read "Sizzler". That sign triggered visions of endless trips to their salad bar, replenishing the carbohydrates and other nutrients that have been drained out of me riding across the hundred degree desert. It was just as good as envisioned! But, that was yesterday, the 24th. Today, I would cross the Colorado River into Arizona.
